When
I sit down and start to produce a painting I feel like a mad scientist at
work. I start by building layers and
layers of different mediums onto board or canvas. I start with a drawling and incorporate
fabric, paper and acrylic gels or paste.
I have to trust my intuition while being open to the unpredictable.
As I develop a dialogue with each
painting and go with my instinctive nature
the painting starts to develop and begins to have a personality of its
own.
I do not paint things exactly as they are but
a representative of what I want them to be.I rarely get intimated when trying
new mediums and I work mostly with acrylics because there is such an array of
techniques that you are able to use.
